Sharing January’s Stamp Camp Projects

Sharing January’s Stamp Camp Projects

I thought I would share what we made in January’s Stamp Camp with the Honey Bee Bundle.  We made a pretty insert for our frame using Peaceful Poppies DSP, and we even used a “wobbler” on the bee so when you touch it, it wobbles a bit and it looks like the bee is buzzing around.  Pretty cute!  Next is a tea wallet that holds 4 tea bags, or other treats, or even a mini card if you like.  We also made a post it note holder with a matching tulip pen, and last was a thinking of you card.

We had some fun handmade door prizes this time, I’ll share them real soon.  Hope you have a great day!

January Stamp Camp – sign up by January 14th

I offer two kinds of classes each month…regular card class and Stamp Camp.  My favorite one to prepare for is definitely Stamp Camp, because there’s so much fun going on!  We make more projects in Stamp Camp, usually 4 or 5 and several are 3D projects instead of cards.  Yay, I love coming up with new things to make with you!  I also love to EAT, and we do plenty of that at Stamp Camp too, because a meal is included with the class fee.  We also have door prizes, and sometimes it’s an all attendee giveaway!

There are two options when you sign up for Stamp Camp:  You can pay for just the projects, or pay the bundle fee.  If you are a stamper who would use the stamp set again, this is definitely the best deal for you, because the stamps, dies, and in this case the ribbon we’ll be using in class are included in the class fee.  Plus you get to pick a free item from the Sale-A-Bration catalog, win win win!  Regardless of which option you choose, I’ll give you a coupon for $5 off your next order of $25 or more, I bet there’s something on your wish list you can use that coupon for.

Here are the details, and if you want to join us, you can pick which day you’d like to come, and let me know what time works best for you.  I’m open from 11am till the last person leaves, but you have to arrive by 6pm…my husband says I can’t stay in my stamping room 24/7.  Please sign up by January 14th so I can order the supplies.

The NEW Paper Trimmer is HERE!

The NEW Paper Trimmer is HERE!

I’m so excited to share that the new paper trimmer is here and available for everyone to order. I ordered mine early and we tried it out in classes…everyone agrees it makes perfect clean cuts and the scoring blade creases the paper just right.  If you’ve added this great new trimmer to your wish list you can order it now.

I have an order going in soon and if you’re local to me I can add it to my order for you.  If you’re a long distance stamper-friend, you can order it directly from my store here.

Happy Stamping!

Meatball Subs

Meatball Subs

I know pretty much everyone has enjoyed a meatball sub in their life, they are delicious!  At Stamp Camp  this week we had meatball subs and everyone always asks me for the recipe so I thought I would share how quick and easy they are to throw together, no recipe needed.

I use one bag of frozen meatballs plus one 24 oz jar of my favorite spaghetti sauce.  Simply combine the two in a slow cooker, I leave them on low for 2 hours till it’s heated  through.  By the time they are  warm the whole house smells amazing and I’m drooling all over myself.  Buns are key too, these Butternut brat and sausage buns are the bomb – so soft and yummy, and they hold 4 or 5 meatballs perfectly.  Topped with shredded mozzarella this is a great sandwich!

I bet even Joey from FRIENDS would approve!  🙂

Have a great day!

Hey There, Pumpkin!

Hey There, Pumpkin!

Today in class I busted out a brand new stamp set called Harvest Hellos. It’s coming September 4th in the new Stampin Up Holiday catalog.

I can see myself using every one of these greetings, and I have a new found love of apples and pumpkins all of a sudden. There’s even a punch that will make using this set a breeze.

We made this fun card in class today and the words were just what it needed!

If you’d like a copy of the new Holiday catalog, let me know. I’d be happy to send one your way.

Okay, now I want a pumpkin cappuccino! (Too early, I know… but can’t wait till they return in fall)

New Stampin Up HOLIDAY catalogs are here!

New Stampin Up HOLIDAY catalogs are here!

I had a helper over this morning and my friend Amelia and I  were talking about some of our favorite smells.  We had a lot in common…we both like the smell of gasoline (even though it’s not a good idea to sniff it), we both like the aroma of fresh baked bread, freshly mowed lawns, cucumbers, lemons, grapefruits, and there’s NOTHING like the scent of a newly printed catalog…especially a Stampin Up  catalog!

I’m so grateful we have a paper catalog to page through, I think it’s nicer than looking at it online.  As I page through my copy, I see new things every time I open it and my wish  list is a mile long already!  There are lots of amazing bundles to choose from, I’m having a hard time picking a favorite.

The new Holiday catalogs are HERE if you want to stop in and pick one up, or if you’d like me to put on in the mail for you, just let me know and I’ll do it right away so you can browse through all the new fall, Halloween, winter and Christmas goodies that Stampin Up has to offer this year.  It’s going to be FUN  (and easy) making Christmas cards this year.  🙂

Cow’s it Going?

Cow’s it Going?

When I first saw this adorable stamp set from Stampin’ Up I knew I had to have it!

The cows are just the cutest, I love the wording and I live in Wisconsin…of course I had to get this stamp set!  I tried a few other layouts before I settled on the Dutch fold, which worked out just fine.

The cows are really easy to color, so it doesn’t feel like a chore to “get the markers out”.  Since last week when we made this card in class together I haven’t been able to put the stamp set away.  I’m working on a list of other words that weren’t included in the stamp set like…herd it was your birthday, or we’ve mooooved, etc.  I’ll post more when my list is more complete.  Meanwhile, have an udderly fantastic week!

Fox Den Landscape & Nursery

Fox Den Landscape & Nursery

In February of 2019 we adjusted our plans a bit and started a new adventure…Fox Den Landscape & Nursery!  I am still stamping and doing classes, but during greenhouse season it’s going to be extra busy for us.  Thank goodness for good helpers!

One of my favorite parts of this new adventure is the flowers, I didn’t know much about plants in general going into this but I’m learning so much every day.

So many pretty colors, I get an eyeful of inspiration every time I water the flowers or walk through the greenhouses.

It’s too hard to pick a favorite, so I simply enjoy them every day while they are here.  I can’t wait to make a paper version of the daisy with my Stampin Up punches!

We will have a card-making station for Mother’s Day weekend, so come on out and pick out something pretty for mom and make her a card too.

Loving every minute of it – Debbi

Bird Ballad Suite

Bird Ballad Suite

Here are the projects I shared at On Stage in Minnesota, including a video on how to create the little envelopes. I will share more soon, including a tutorial on how to make the envelope flip book.

Thanks for looking, I will highlight each card during the next week or two. The products in the Bird Ballad Suite will be available in the 2019-20 annual Stampin Up catalog, coming in June. Can’t wait to show you more!

On Stage in MN – no really, I was ON the stage!

On Stage in MN – no really, I was ON the stage!

I have such exciting news to share! I was asked to be a “presenter” at a Stampin Up On Stage event. I’m so happy I said yes because it was an amazing experience!

I got to showcase the Bird Ballad suite coming in the new catalog and that was the perfect set for me because I’m definitely a bird nerd.

Here’s a peek of me with my display board.

I’ll share each project and some tutorials once I get home. My friends Melissa and Alicia and I will be traveling, chatting, laughing and making our wish list for all the things we want from the new catalog all the way home.

What a fun weekend it had been! Can’t wait to tell you all about it.

Debbi (still smiling ear to ear)
